Nerf Wildfire - Review!

Predecessor to the Nerf Rapid Fire 20... the Nerf Wildfire!

The Nerf Wildfire was launched back in 1999 and its now no longer in production. This classic blaster was the first ever fully automatic Nerf blaster on the market! Its introduction ushered in an era of blasters with high ammo capacity and incredible rate-of-fire. A highly popular blaster with many Nerf collectors!

The Wildfire has a similar firing system as the Nerf Rapid Fire 20, the blaster is primed by filling its air tank via an on-board pump handle. It has auto-rotating barrels with 20 dart ammo capacity and requires around 25+ pumps to prime fully. Average range is around 25-30 ft.

There are 2 methods to fire the Wildfire: Burst Fire and Full Auto. To burst fire, quick trigger pulls will fire off 2-3 foam darts per burst. For full auto, hold the trigger down to fire off all 20 darts in under 3 seconds!

Its also comes with a useful air capacity indicator and a handy shoulder strap... along with its signature funky "blazing flame" paintwork!

Nerf Blast Fire DX500 - Review!

Successor to the Nerf Mad Hornet and the predecessor to the Nerf Hornet AS-6 ...

The Nerf Blast Fire DX500!

The Nerf Blast Fire was launched back in 2001 and its now no longer in production. This classic blaster is still a favorite amongst Nerf enthusiasts for its usability and versatile semi-auto/blast fire modes.

The Blast Fire has a similar firing system as the Nerf Hornet, the blaster is primed by filling its air tank chambers via an on-board pump handle. Its top-sliding hatch is required to be primed before it is pumped to set the semi-auto and blast fire system. It takes just 5-6 pumps to fully prime the blaster.

This is a true semi-auto blaster. Once it is primed, all you need to do is to just keep pulling the trigger and it will fire the foam darts in sequence, no need to re-prime the blaster.

It also has a "blast fire" button on its top. When activated, it'll fire off all the foam darts in one barrage, useful when you need to quickly blast an area with foam darts!

The Blast Fire has an average firing range of 30+ ft and it is compatible with all Nerf foam dart types.

In terms of form factor, it is relatively light and compact, making it quite an effective sidearm for close quarter skirmishes!

Nerf Pinpoint Sight - Review!

Check out the new Nerf Pinpoint Sight!

Yes, this is a reflex sight... and the best part is, unlike the non-functional longshot scope or tactical scope, the Pinpoint Sight actually has a functional red dot reticle!

The Pinpoint Sight is powered by 2 x AAA batteries and comes packaged with 10 x Micro foam darts.

Reflex sights are typically non-magnified optical sights that reflect a reticle image onto a combining glass for superimposition on the target. They are commonly used to aid in quick close quarter target acquisition and due to the long eye relief distance design, can be aimed at arm's length with both eyes open.

The Nerf Pinpoint Sight now offers similar quick aiming capability in a N-Strike Mission Kit!

Of course, compared to real reflex sights, the Nerf Pinpoint Sight doesn't have any of the fancy lenses, fiber optics, tritium capsules or fine tuned calibrations and adjustments etc, but it does provide an interesting way to mount an alternative aiming point for Nerf blasters... and anyways, it just looks cool!

Nerf Raider CS-35 - Review!

Introducing the Nerf Raider CS-35!

This is the latest blaster to be added to the Nerf N-Strike range, it follows the design principles of the Nerf Longshot and Recon, but adds on even more features and capabilities.

The Raider is a magazine-fed blaster with a spring powered reverse plunger system. It uses a pump action priming mechanism via a front grip handle.

It comes with a 35-dart drum magazine (along with 35 Streamline foam darts), this is perhaps the first time such a magazine system has been created for a Nerf blaster and it provides incredible ammo capacity. Yes, this drum magazine is also compatible with the Nerf Longshot and Recon too!

In addition, the Raider also comes with a unique firing feature called the "Slam Fire" mode. This new firing mode works like this: Hold down the trigger, then pump the front grip repeatedly to fire a constant stream of foam darts, the rate-of-fire (RoF) will depend on how fast you pump the front grip.

With some practice, firing tests have shown that it is possible to achieve a steady RoF of up to 2-3 shots per second! The Raider's average firing range is approx. 25-30 ft, around the same as a stock Longshot or Recon.

By combining the awesome 35-dart drum magazine and the new "Slam Fire" mode, the Nerf Raider allows equipped players to outshoot and outlast their opponents in fast-paced close-quarter Nerf games!
